If it is finished engineered wood / hardwood then you should not burn it indoor. Outdoor should be okay to burn. When you burn it in your fireplace you could be breathing the fumes of the finish which can be harmful to you.
Rudy.

it should be fine,
most resins thes day and coating are none toxic. they dont allow to sell them anymore because of the ozone.
it doesnt have lead in it like it used too.
if your cold- burn it!!

You shouldn't, really. All the resins used to hold it together and the finish coat will generate lots of dangerous fumes. If you're downwind from it, or burning it in your fireplace and the smoke doesn't all go up the chimney properly, you could be letting poisonous gases and smoke into your house. More so than just burning clean wood.

@fuhrc08
If you're looking for flooring that can be refinished, you should look at the Mirage Engineered line, which can be sanded.
Mirage Lock can't be refinished but it can easily be removed and replaced.

Some people will always prefer nailed-down flooring. If you're a great installer, you shouldn't worry.
