I just got the Magellan 3100 about 3 days ago. For the price so far it was great. I am not sure that you can do this with the Magellan. This is because it has an internal battery that charges as you have it on the car. I would say this is a feature not a disadvantage. Anyways its not so hard just to power it off. (if you dont know its on the right upper hand side. Good luck

Protect your self this mold wont harm you,The mold you see isnt the problem,Its the fungi that lives in symbiosis with it lies dormant for years and a bathroom spray disinfectant might helpand rubbing alcohol works wonders and its cheap just pour a gallon on said mold and watch as it evaps and leaves oil left and bottom line is protect yourself!!IE feel water b4 jumping in bath!
